BOTEH – Meet The Founder
Obsolete Collective

On July 1st, Obsolete Collective welcomed friends, creatives, and fashion lovers for a special afternoon celebrating the launch of BOTEH’s
first Mallorcan residency and the opportunity to meet the visionary behind the brand, founder and creative director Amelia Mather.
Guests stepped into our beautiful space to discover BOTEH’s vibrant collection up close - exploring the textures, craftsmanship, and intricate details that bring
each piece to life. It was an afternoon dedicated to slowing down, connecting, and experiencing the collection in a tactile and personal way.

At the heart of the event was Amelia herself, sharing the story behind BOTEH and the inspiration that has shaped the brand. With over two decades of experience bringing her creative vision to some of Australia’s most loved labels, Amelia’s journey reflects a deep passion for colour, print, craftsmanship, and thoughtful design.
Inspired by a life filled with adventure, movement, and curiosity, Amelia’s designs embody the spirit of effortless living. An avid yogi, traveller, and collector of beautiful objects, she draws inspiration from the natural world, ancient traditions, and the artistry found in cultures around the globe.

The name BOTEH pays homage to the Persian word for “paisley” - a motif rich with history and symbolism that has long captured Amelia’s imagination.
This appreciation for heritage, artisan techniques,
and timeless patterns is woven throughout the collection, creating pieces that feel both grounded and full of possibility.
